Our client, a well-established aged care facility in Keilor Downs, is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join their team. In this rewarding role, you’ll plan and deliver a variety of engaging individual and group activities that promote social connection, enjoyment and wellbeing for residents. This role is fixed term with an immediate start until February 2026, working 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday - Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist residents to participate in a wide range of appropriate activities
- Maintain written records of resident’s assessments, progress and evaluations
- Offer activity programs to all residents incorporating both individual and group activities
- Encourage resident participation
- Plan and display the monthly program to inform residents, staff and relatives about the type and timing of planned activities for the current month.
Skills and Abilities
- Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent
- Experience in an Aged Care Setting
- Strong commitment and practical ability to develop and implement recreational and lifestyle enhancement activities for residents
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with residents
