KLC Recruitment is proud to partner with a growing and respected NDIS provider to recruit an experienced Intake Officer to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the NDIS sector who enjoys building relationships, coordinating client journeys and making a genuine difference in people's lives. Working closely with the Business Development Manager, you will oversee participant intake, onboarding and transitions into services while ensuring a positive experience for participants, families and key stakeholders.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

The Opportunity

As the Intake Officer, you will be responsible for managing referrals from initial enquiry through to successful service commencement. You'll coordinate participant assessments, organise transitions into accommodation and support services, liaise with Support Coordinators and allied health professionals, and ensure every intake is managed professionally, efficiently and compliantly.

Working collaboratively across Business Development and Operations, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless intake experience while supporting participant outcomes and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Intake & Transitions

  • Manage participant enquiries and referrals from initial enquiry through to service commencement
  • Coordinate participant assessments and information gathering
  • Manage SIL, SDA, MTA and Home & Living enquiries
  • Develop and coordinate participant onboarding and transition plans
  • Organise Meet & Greets, property tours and stakeholder meetings
  • Support participants and families throughout the intake process

Assessments & Coordination

  • Complete participant, property and compatibility risk assessments
  • Assess participant suitability for accommodation vacancies
  • Prepare placement recommendations and intake documentation
  • Coordinate funding approvals and pre-commencement requirements
  • Ensure participant information is accurate and complete prior to operational handover

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with participants, families, guardians, Support Coordinators and allied health professionals
  • Support occupancy planning through effective referral management
  • Attend networking and community engagement activities where required

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience within the NDIS sector
  • Experience in intake, referrals, client onboarding, service coordination or a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of SIL, SDA, MTA and Home & Living supports
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently

Experience in participant transitions, disability accommodation or conducting risk assessments will be highly regarded.
