This is a senior leadership role overseeing the delivery of high-quality, client-centred case management services to adults experiencing homelessness and complex disadvantage. Based at a crisis accommodation and outreach setting, the role combines people leadership, operational oversight, risk management and service excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support a multidisciplinary case management team delivering crisis and community-based services
- Provide daily operational oversight, supervision, reflective practice and performance management
- Promote assertive engagement, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice across the team
- Ensure high-quality, holistic case management for clients with complex needs including homelessness, mental health, AOD, disability and family violence
- Assess and manage risk, critical incidents and complex client situations onsite and in outreach settings
- Oversee service coordination including rosters, service delivery priorities and on-call participation
- Maintain strong working relationships with housing providers, health services and community stakeholders
- Provide secondary consultation and expert guidance on complex cases
- Monitor service outcomes, data integrity, reporting and funding compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement, program reviews, audits and governance processes
Skills and Abilities
- Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor level) in Social Work, Community Services or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in homelessness or community services, including leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of homelessness systems, housing pathways and intersecting services
- Proven ability to manage risk, critical incidents and complex client presentations
- Sound knowledge of compliance, governance and accreditation frameworks
- High level communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational, reporting and time management capabilities
- Advanced IT literacy across case management and reporting systems
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, dignity, inclusion and trauma-informed practice
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence
