  • Full Time Contract Role until July 2026 (Possibility of extension) 
  • Heatherton Location |  Immediate Start
  • $78,000 to $87,000 + Superannuation 

We are seeking an experienced Area Coordinator to join our client, a dynamic provider of disability support services, to lead, develop and support a geographically based team of Disability Support Workers. The successful applicant will ensure exceptional service delivery to participants and proactively partner with the broader team to enhance regional service presence. If you have the exceptional ability to lead and develop teams, previous experience delivering high quality NDIS services and growing and supporting strong teams who meet participants needs then this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a local team of Disability Support Workers with regular performance appraisals and check-ins
  • Support staff capability development through coaching, mentoring, on-the-job support and training
  • Manage conflict, address performance issues, and promote a positive team culture
  • Ensure service user planning, assessments and rostering are compliant with NDIS standards, funding and policies
  • Be the escalation point for on-shift incidents and manage in line with organisational procedures
  • Liaise with Clinical Care and HR to ensure staff training meets NDIS requirements
  • Contribute to service growth, staff retention and operational effectiveness

Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience leading teams in disability, community or human services settings
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, scheduling and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop team capability
  • Values-driven, participant-focused and proactive in service delivery

Please note the successful applicant must have a current First Aid & CPR Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Check & Valid Australia Drivers License with access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance.
