Our client is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse within the aged care sector to join their team and provide care for aged residents in Keilor Down, specifically assisting with night shifts. The facility is well-maintained and includes a chapel, courtyard, conservatory, and even chickens on-site that the residents adore.
Skills and Experience
- Ideally a minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting.
- Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- A commitment to the philosophy of a person-centered approach to providing care and services.
- Thorough knowledge of Accreditation Standards, Aged Care funding, and Aged Care Legislation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Experience with ecase
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide quality person-centered care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate each client's individual person-centered care needs.
- Conduct consultations and provide education to clients and/or their family members or representatives.
- Administer patient medication, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
- Oversee all clinical issues within the facility.
- Observe and record patient behaviour.
- Carry out outpatient treatments
